The Epworth Free Vaccine Clinic is a UMass Chan medical student-run free vaccine program that operates under the umbrella of the Worcester Free Care Collaborative (WFCC), a non-profit organization. The vaccine clinic provides state-funded adult and pediatric immunizations out of the Epworth United Methodist Church on Monday evenings from 6-8 pm. The clinic was established in October 2021 to serve as a pediatric vaccine clinic and expanded in May 2023 to provide vaccinations for adults. Currently, they provide free immunizations to uninsured/underinsured Worcester residents, primarily for work and school entry for newly immigrated families. For adults, they currently offer vaccines for Covid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Polio, Td, Tdap, and Varicella. The Epworth Free Vaccine Clinic was recently awarded the MIAP Conference Award in recognition of their work and contribution to improving immunization rates in the Worcester community.
